As of March 1st 2022 Stowen and Hexis – have been joined by Windhoist, who are a leading wind turbine installation company offering heavy cranage and mechanical / electrical services to the within the renewable industry. Our renewable technical and safety training facility Hexis will have two centres, in Irvine and Lowestoft to be the trusted technical service partner to the wind industry and to build a sustainable future through renewable technology. The group has been established to integrate complementary capabilities between its companies, Windlogix aims to benefit on- and off-shore energy generators by offering a cradle-to-grave service portfolio.
The first – organic growth – is to be achieved through the integration of adjacent services. Clients will benefit from unified delivery and service solutions backed by the assurance and resilience of group infrastructure. The second – strategic acquisition – will serve to bolster capabilities across the group in order to serve clients at every stage of the wind-farm lifecycle.
As of today, the Windlogix Group is comprised as follows:
- Windhoist – the globally-revered provider of onshore turbine erection services – which brings to Windlogix a 60+ year history and an enviable reputation for safe and efficient lifting operations. With over 19GW of turbine erection experience, both on- and off-shore, Windhoist provides the backbone of Windlogix’s install capability.
- Stowen – whose world-class inspection, servicing and certification capabilities are well regarded throughout the industry – which brings considerable expertise in the through-life maintenance of turbines, as well as the myriad disciplines required to support wind farms of all scales.
- Hexis – an established provider of accredited training courses for the offshore renewable industry – which brings a comprehensive curriculum of practical and theory-based training to bring trainees up to the newly developed ECTIB standards; standards which it helped to develop.
Together, the group companies represent one of the largest and arguably one of the most experienced providers of turbine services in the world. Windlogix is actively engaged in the hiring of further talent, while further acquisitions are to be announced in the near future.
