ISO 14001 AND OHSAS 18001

Q4 2016 saw Stowen gaining ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification across the group.

Ensuring and demonstrating compliance is a fundamental ethos for Stowen. Within 3 months of the company opening we secured DNV approved ISO 9001 and it was a natural progression to add the 14001 and 18001. These standards show the level of commitment in Stowen to both the health and safety of all personnel involved in and around Stowen but Stowen’s commitment to creating a strong and lasting environmental strategy.

Stowen express great thanks and appreciation to our Corporate QHSE Manager Bob Catchpole for making this significant milestone for us. 

IRATA & SPRAT MEMBERSHIP

Stowen were successfully audited and awarded probationary membership for Rope Access Services.

Kieron Ford (Technical Director) has been leading the charge on this extremely important accreditation for us.

Executing rope access work scopes in accordance with such standards was never going to be enough to satisfy the demands Stowen puts on itself to ensure safety compliance, so making the step to gain this accreditation was very satisfying.

Following extensive process review and a successful external audit, Stowen’s membership status was duly granted. 

ABS APPROVED SERVICE PROVIDER – HULL THICKNESS GAUGING

Stowen have been successfully audited by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and awarded approved service provider status for Hull Gauging.

This accreditation enables Stowen to provide services which ABS Surveyors may rely on to make decisions affecting class or statutory surveys. The accreditation compliments the existing suite of QHSE certifications and compliance memberships already held within Stowen globally.

The quality and robustness of Stowen Inspection and Integrity division was so impressive, ABS awarded full approval status without the need for the 3-month probationary period.
