STOWEN SECURES PLACE ON PRESTIGIOUS WIND ENERGY PROGRAMME
Stowen is one of ten companies from the East Anglian region to have won out against fierce competition, securing them a place in the first intake of the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s industry-backed Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) New Anglia Programme.
After engaging with over 100 companies across the region, only 10 winning companies could be selected. Despite Stowen already having several years’ experience of delivering excellence in the wind energy sector, the 12-month business improvement and supply chain growth programme will back Stowen to further penetrate the market by competing for and securing larger contracts and boosting relationships with wind farm project developers.
The East of England generates almost half of the existing offshore wind output in the UK, with a pipeline of future projects clearly defined, underling the important role the sector plays as an economic driver regionally, nationally and globally. The strong interest and engagement for wind farm developments means that now is an exciting time for Stowen, alongside the prospect of scope opportunities for many years to come.
